1–2 Weeks To Go…
The Day Before/Rehearsal Dinner:
Post Honeymoon/Post Wedding
- Provide a final guest count to your vendors!
- Be sure to include plate number for the vendors as well. It is a nice gesture to give them something to eat on your big day!
- Are you doing a seating arrangement? Better get on that.
- We chose to not have a seating chart. This was honestly a stress I didn't want to deal with.
- Pick up your gown or arrange for it to be picked up.
- I had my sister pick up my gown on the morning of.
- Confirm your timeline with your vendors and important people involved
- I printed itineraries with important details and handed it to all important members of the wedding party (all bridesmaids, groomsmen, officiant, parents, other key members, vendors) at the rehearsal dinner.
- Put together a day-of emergency kit and a day-of bag.
- I recommend checking out these kits online to find what is going to work for your specific event.
- Check the weather report and decide on any back up plans
- Begin packing for the honeymoon and check the weather report!
- Get a facial or massage or something that relaxes you
The Day Before/Rehearsal Dinner:
- Be sure to make an inventory of everything you need and either lay it out or pack it up (Rings and License!)
- Any final payments or tips for vendors need to be set aside and organized to be delivered on the day of
- Decide on who is going to pick up all the gifts and items after the wedding (don't forget the cake topper and the top of the cake so you can eat it on your 1 year anniversary).
- Get a manicure and a pedicure! This is a great opportunity to relax and spend some time with your family or friends
- Attend the rehearsal and dinner
- Be sure to remind everyone that YOU DO NOT WANT TO HEAR OR NEED TO KNOW ANY PROBLEMS. This is where the people you love get to use their noggins and their knowledge of you to make educated decisions when problems arise. It is just your job to feel gorgeous, eat and drink and be merry!
- Go over the itinerary, practice your ceremony walk through a couple times, get all questions out of the way
- I know you are excited, but try to sleep!
- We decided to spend this night together instead of apart. We knew that on the wedding night we weren't going to have the opportunity to have some intimate moments with all the chaos, so we watched a movie, had a quiet dinner, and slept in each others arms.
- Give yourself enough time to be ready so you are stress free
- I woke up at 8am to get showered and was sure to have everything for that day.
- Meet&Greet: A lot of wedding is talking to everyone!
- Take some time to slip away with your spouse to decompress
- THIS IS YOUR DAY. HAVE FUN.
Post Honeymoon/Post Wedding
- Write and send your thank you notes
- Exchange or return any gifts you don't want
- Have your dress cleaned and preserved
- Be happy! You're married!
